It took over 120 labor hours to create this hand-made 50 blade masterpiece. The stainless steel master blade is 3-3/4" long and marked P. Lang Germany Beautiful Exhibition Grade Mother Of Pearl Scales are 4-3/4" long and each Mother Of Pearl piece used was individually hand selected and stored in inventory by great, great, great grand father Pius Lang I over 200 years ago. This knife was hand made by Walter Lang circa early 1960's. During his work life Walter (4th Gen. Master Knifemaker, now retired) hand crafted about 400 exposition knives, most bearing a serial number on the back of the hoof cleaner. This one is a very rare example that has no serial number.
